Dear friends and family...

...and welcome to all my new subscribers! Whether you joined this
newsletter on my site, through my contest, or when you met me at the
Costa Mesa Highland Games last month, I really appreciate your interest.
(And it was great seeing those of you I was lucky enough to meet!)

To anyone who might have e-mailed me lately and failed to receive a
response: Unfortunately, I have had numerous e-mail troubles the past
few weeks. If you sent e-mail more than a week ago and haven't heard
back, please assume I didn't receive your e-mail, and resend. I think
the problem is fixed now--at least, I hope so, because I've found it
very frustrating! Although it might take me a while if I'm out of town
or close to a deadline, I DO answer all of my e-mail, and it drives me
nuts to think readers might assume I'm ignoring them. <sigh>

I don't have a lot of other news this month (just writing, writing,
writing!), so I'll get right down to business. Congratulations to
Margaret Silva of Arlington, Virgina, the lucky winner of June's
contest! Margaret, your pearl and emerald necklace is on the way.
